PLEASE read this, PLEASE reblog it, take it in, and stick with me through this, it won’t take long. And PLEASE don’t delete what I wrote here, it’s the whole point.

Did you know that bullying victims are between 2 to 9 times more likely to consider suicide than non-victims? Did you know at least half of suicides among young people are related to bullying? Did you know 160,000 kids stay home from school every day because of fear of bullying? Did you know that gay and lesbian teens are two to three times more likely to commit teen suicide than other youths? Did you know that 2/3 of people suffering from depression don’t seek treatment? Did you know that untreated depression is the number ONE cause of suicide?

Do you even THINK before you hide behind your computer and hit send, what kind of damage you’re doing? Do you think about it when you laugh at the kid that’s getting bullied instead of helping them? Do you think about the fact that you have the power to change someones life for better or worse? Do you think about the families that will be left behind to grieve and blame themselves?

I’m tired of seeing this. I’m tired of the hate. I’m tired of people judging each other. I’m tired of racism. I’m tired of homophobia. I’m tired of weight and sexual discrimination. STOP. Just stop. You don’t know someone elses life, you don’t know if you’re going to be the last one to push them to the edge. You don’t know if you will cause them to have an eating disorder, cut, or kill themselves. Don’t make someone feel worthless. Stop complaining about society, you are society. Instead DO something about it. Use your voice for GOOD. If you want to bully someone on anon, do it to me, I can take it. But please just stop and think before you hit send, because that one action, those words you say, they matter. If you took out one part of your life, something someone said to you, something someone did, I GUARANTEE you would end up on a different path than the one you’re on right now. Just one thing.

Please, don’t let it get to the point to where someone has to shoot up a school, starve themselves, purge, cut, or kill themselves. Don’t let someone feel useless, alone, or ugly. EVERYONE is beautiful, the beauty you might not see, someone else will. But you have NO RIGHT to tell someone that they should cut, or starve themselves, or kill themselves, you really don’t. These lives lost are not meaningless, don’t ignore what is going around you. Take a look around. We’re all walking around with secrets, things no one knows, we all hide behind a mask, whether we want to or not, and that is who people see, not YOU. You may think you know someone, but you don’t know their thoughts before they go to sleep, you don’t know what they do when they are alone. You get ONE life. Leave behind something people will want to remember.

And for anyone feeling alone right now, or to anyone that’s being bullied right now, or wants to cut, or needs anything at all. Talk to me. I am here for you, and I always will be here for you. Reach out to someone if you want to die, because you will see that they care, I know that’s why I’m here right now. Please stay strong, face another day. It gets better.

My mom’s friend adopted this lovely dog after he was abandoned by his previous family. His name is Shaun. Shaun had always been very good at eating all his food. Every last bit that was, he ate it. One day he started leaving a little bit behind. He wouldn’t eat everything, no matter what. He always left a little behind. Every morning when my mom’s friend checked Shaun’s bowl, the food was gone. That was very strange, because Shaun always spent the night by her side.
One night she decided to investigate the food situation. She waited quietly by the food bowl and then, in the middle of the night, a cat came through the window and ate the remaining food. She noticed the cat was actually pregnant. A week or so later the cat came into her house and gave birth to 6 little kittens. Shaun took care of them as if they were his own babies. My mom’s friend adopted the cat too (her name is Meow) and they took care of the kittens until they all found a loving home. Nowadays Meow and Shaun live happily together as a family and they each have their little bowl of food.

Okay, obviously I don’t know any of these people personally, but I’m getting rather frustrated with this mainstream fad of automatically labeling the girl as the “bitch”. I can’t speak for this specific incident, but because it’s somewhat relevant to my diatribe, I’m using it to illustrate my point.

Why the hell is it that when a guy is “desperately in love” with a girl and she doesn’t requite those feelings, all of the sudden he was the one who was wronged and abused? (Okay, maybe this isn’t the best example because the concert ticket thing was kind of cold.) But how come when a girl is mooning over a guy who doesn’t like her back, she’s “too desperate” or a “slut” or some such bullshit?

Additionally, you’d think that after about four years of constant rejection, he’d get a hint. She’s NOT INTERESTED. Would it be so terrible to respect that? Just because you “love” a girl doesn’t mean she’s obligated to have sex with you or be your wife or WHATEVER.
And speaking as someone who has personally been stalked by a “admirer” (*coughpsychologicallyandemotionallyunstablebaby*), it’s really not actually that romantic when a guy persistantly follows a girl around like an incoming predator drone. It’s really stressful, actually. As in ninja-roll-behind-things-and-change-your-routines-every-day-to-impair-this-person’s-ability-to-stalk-you stressful. What we don’t get from this lovely, mildy -EXTREMELY- prejudiced facebook clip is testimony as to whether she ever told him to STOP. It’s one thing to pull a Peeta Mellark on someone who actually appreciates or acknowledges/accepts your attention. But if a girl repeatedly tells you to give her space, or take things slower, to just be friends, or point-blank to go away, that literally means “SOD OFF. GTFO,” and not “Oh, yes! Continue to stalk me like a starved zombie! I secretly love you!”

LET ME LOVE YOUR FOREVER, ZOE.

No girl is obligated to like a guy, just because he likes her. If it were the other way around, and a girl chased after a boy like this, she would be “creepy” and “desperate”.

Actualy,this whole facebook post piss me the fuck off. The more I look at it, the angrier I get. Seriously, that boy isn’t entitled to ANYTHING. Maybe he should treat her as a PERSON, with her own problems, and opinions- then she might actually like him! I fucking HATE this whole “nice guy” syndrome- just because he’s sweet to her, she has to date him? And she is a bitch if she doesn’t? Ugh. UGH.
